Every figure here is a planning estimate, not a quotation. It arrives as a range because a photograph cannot see hidden defects, access or exact measurements — an installer confirms those on survey, and that is when a price becomes a quote.
Questions homeowners ask
Will someone call me?
Not unless you ask to be contacted. You can upload a photo, design your whole exterior and read the estimate without giving us a name, a number or an email. If you do want quotes, you choose when — and at most three installers ever receive your details.
How much do new windows cost in the UK?
It depends on how many windows you're replacing, how big they are and the style you choose. Facet Pro prices yours the way an installer would: each window by its size and style, the door by the leaf, plus access for anything upstairs, taking the old frames away, and VAT at 20%. You see every line.

Do I need to measure my house first?
No. Start with a clear photo of the front of your home — Facet Pro uses the visible features and proportions in it to size the job. If anything looks wrong, correct it with one tap and the estimate updates.
Will you change my window frames in the picture?
Yes. Pick a style and a frame colour and the after picture is generated from your own photo — keeping your home's perspective, lighting and shadows, and showing the frames and door you chose where it can. Nothing is added, removed or resized. It's a realistic guide to help you choose, not a guarantee of the finished installation — and if the picture hasn't changed something you asked for, your estimate still prices what you chose.
What happens to my photo?
Your original photograph is never saved. It goes to the AI services that find the parts of your home and generate the picture, and it is not kept, published, sold, or used to train anybody's models. What we do keep: the picture we generate for you, the choices you made, and a fingerprint of your photo with the measurements taken from it — the fingerprint for seven days, so the same photo always gives you the same estimate. How long does it take?
Finding the windows, doors, roof and cladding takes about half a minute. Colour changes and prices update instantly. A full photorealistic render of your home can take up to a minute.
Can I still price cladding, render or a new roof?
Yes — that is rather the point. Windows, doors, walls, roofline and roof all start from the photo you already uploaded. The front is measured from it; the back is a second photo or a number you give us; and anything still unseen, like the roof, is clearly marked as an estimate. Most people start with the windows and add the rest once they can see what the whole job comes to. Conservatories are the exception: we show guide ranges by style to help you compare, because a conservatory's price turns on size, glazing, groundworks and access rather than on anything a photograph of the front can tell us.
Does Facet Pro do the work?
No. Facet Pro creates the design and the estimate. If you ask for quotes, it goes to installers who arrange a survey and quote properly. There is no obligation to go ahead.

What can change your final price?
Facet Pro gives you a planning estimate, not a fixed contract quote. The final price can change after a survey, because of things a photograph cannot always show:

- • Final measurements — we are still calibrating how we size a house from a photograph against surveyed properties
- • Your final product specification

What a photo of the front can and can’t tell us
A photo contains more information than you might think. Facet Pro uses visible features, proportions and familiar dimensions to build an initial understanding of your home’s exterior — a standard UK front door is very close to 1.98 m, and it is in almost every photograph of a British home, so it gives us the scale of everything around it. Where more detail is needed, you can check or correct it before your estimate is calculated.
A UK front door is a known height. The elevation is measured against it — no reference object, no tape measure, no visit.
A photo of the front shows the front. We measure that. For the back and sides you can add a second photo or just tell us the number, and we price those windows at typical sizes. Anything left — the rest of the walls, the roof — is labelled an estimate for your house type.
Every estimate carries a range and says which method produced it. A number without its error bars is a guess.
