Composite or uPVC
A composite door is a solid core in a moulded skin: heavier, better insulated, and it holds a colour and a woodgrain far better over ten years of British weather. uPVC is the cheaper unit and a perfectly sound door in a sheltered opening.
The gap between the two, fitted, is smaller than the gap between two companies quoting the same composite door — which is the recurring theme of every page on this site.
