Why scaffolding is the line that surprises people
Roofline work is all at height, so access is not an optional extra — it is £960 of the figure above before anybody touches a fascia board. A quote that omits it is not cheaper, it is incomplete.
It is also the reason to do fascias, soffits and guttering together, and to think about whether the roof is due at the same time. Paying twice for the same scaffold is the most common avoidable cost in exterior work.
