For installers
Homeowners who have already seen the job
Homeowners use Facet Pro to see new windows, doors, walls, roofline and roof on a photograph of their own house, with an itemised planning estimate, before anybody visits.
When one asks for quotes, the installers covering their postcode receive their design: the picture, the products and colours they chose, the quantities we measured or counted, and the estimate they have already seen. You survey and quote as you always would.

How we price
Where your price comes from
- Windows and doors: what these jobs actually sell for, from 24 years of selling them, checked against current UK prices.
- Walls, roof and roofline: UK material and labour rates, with scaffolding, waste and VAT.
- Every figure: a planning estimate, shown as a range, confirmed by your installer’s survey.
Your photograph decides the quantities; nothing about how well you negotiate does. Everything below is here for anyone who wants the working.
Your estimate is based on your home and your choices — not how well you negotiate.
Two neighbours can buy the same windows and pay thousands apart, because one of them sat in the room longer on a Wednesday evening. Priced from the photograph, the number does not move on how hard you are willing to push.
You’ll look at this house every day for the next twenty years.
Anthracite looks right in a brochure. Nearly everyone picks a frame colour off a swatch the size of a playing card, in their kitchen, on an evening when somebody is selling to them — for something they will see every morning until 2046, and cannot change without paying for it twice.

Where does the number come from?
It’s a planning estimate, not a survey.
We use the visible features of your house to estimate quantities, and give you a range rather than pretending a photograph can tell us everything.

How accurate is the estimate? →
Scale from the door. A standard UK front door is very close to 1.98 m, so it gives us the scale of everything around it. No tape measure, no visit.
Only what it can see. A photo of the front measures the front. The back and sides come from a second photo or a number you give us; anything still unseen, like the roof, is labelled an estimate for your house type.
Stated uncertainty. Every estimate carries a range and says which method produced it. A number without its error bars is a guess.
What can still change the final price: the condition of the property, access, hidden work, exact measurements and your final specification. The full method

Questions homeowners ask
Will someone call me?
Not unless you ask to be contacted. You can upload a photo, design your whole exterior and read the estimate without giving us a name, a number or an email. If you do want quotes, you choose when — and at most three installers ever receive your details.
How much do new windows cost in the UK?
It depends on how many windows you're replacing, how big they are and the style you choose. Facet Pro prices yours the way an installer would: each window by its size and style, the door by the leaf, plus access for anything upstairs, taking the old frames away, and VAT at 20%. You see every line.
What happens to my photo?
Your original photograph is never saved. It goes to the AI services that find the parts of your home and generate the picture, and it is not kept, published, sold, or used to train anybody's models. What we do keep: the picture we generate for you, the choices you made, and a fingerprint of your photo with the measurements taken from it — the fingerprint for seven days, so the same photo always gives you the same estimate. Full detail is in the privacy notice.
Does Facet Pro do the work?
No. Facet Pro creates the design and the estimate. If you ask for quotes, it goes to installers who arrange a survey and quote properly. There is no obligation to go ahead.
Do I need to measure my house first?
No. Start with a clear photo of the front of your home — Facet Pro uses the visible features and proportions in it to size the job. If anything looks wrong, correct it with one tap and the estimate updates.
How long does it take?
Finding the windows, doors, roof and cladding takes about half a minute. Colour changes and prices update instantly. A full photorealistic render of your home can take up to a minute.
Will you change my window frames in the picture?
Yes. Pick a style and a frame colour and the after picture is generated from your own photo — keeping your home's perspective, lighting and shadows, and showing the frames and door you chose where it can. Nothing is added, removed or resized. It's a realistic guide to help you choose, not a guarantee of the finished installation — and if the picture hasn't changed something you asked for, your estimate still prices what you chose.
Can I still price cladding, render or a new roof?
Yes — that is rather the point. Windows, doors, walls, roofline and roof all start from the photo you already uploaded. The front is measured from it; the back is a second photo or a number you give us; and anything still unseen, like the roof, is clearly marked as an estimate. Most people start with the windows and add the rest once they can see what the whole job comes to. Conservatories are the exception: we show guide ranges by style to help you compare, because a conservatory's price turns on size, glazing, groundworks and access rather than on anything a photograph of the front can tell us.
By the numbers Rates, coverage and what has been measured
By the numbers
Usage figures are not shown because there are not yet enough of them to mean anything — when there are, they will appear here and they will be real. If something doesn’t look right on your house, tell us; that is how the estimates get sharper.
Why two neighbours pay thousands apart What the estimate protects you from
The pricing problem
Two neighbours. Same street.
Same windows. Thousands apart.
Two similar homes can end up paying very different prices for similar work. Sometimes that is timing, sometimes the company, sometimes how the conversation goes — and none of it is anything to do with the windows.
Facet Pro was built by somebody who sold these jobs out of people’s front rooms for twenty-four years. Long enough to know what the work really costs, and how often two similar houses end up paying very different amounts for it. This puts that in the homeowner’s hands before the sales process starts.
The same house gets
the same starting point.
Priced from the photograph. The number does not move on how long you are willing to sit there, how hard you push, or what day of the week it is.
It is why your estimate is a range rather than one number. Companies charge different prices for the same job: the lower figure is what a keen installer typically charges, and the higher figure is what others charge for exactly the same windows.

What your estimate actually includes Materials, labour, access, waste, VAT
See what’s behind the number
Most online calculators give you one number and leave you guessing what it includes. Facet Pro breaks the estimate down — materials, labour, access, waste and VAT — so you can see what the project should actually cost.
Material and the labour to fit it, priced per square metre.
Tiles or slate plus fitting, sized from your roof area.
Priced by the metre of roofline, materials and labour.
The bit that surprises people. It's in your figure from the start.
Offcuts and breakages, so the number holds up on site.
Shown separately, never hidden in the headline price.
What can change your final price?
Facet Pro gives you a planning estimate, not a fixed contract quote. The final price can change after a survey, because of things a photograph cannot always show:
- • The condition of the property
- • Access and installation requirements
- • Hidden or unexpected work
- • Final measurements — a photograph can’t measure as precisely as a surveyor, so your installer confirms them on survey (how we size from a photo, and how well it has tested, is under Accuracy below)
- • Your final product specification
That is why we show a realistic range rather than pretending one number is guaranteed. If a figure looks wrong for your home, tell us when you save your design.
What a photo of the front can and can’t tell us Detection, measurement and where it is still being calibrated
Accuracy
What a photo of the front can and can’t tell us
A photo contains more information than you might think. Facet Pro uses visible features, proportions and familiar dimensions to build an initial understanding of your home’s exterior — a standard UK front door is very close to 1.98 m, and it is in almost every photograph of a British home, so it gives us the scale of everything around it. Where more detail is needed, you can check or correct it before your estimate is calculated.
A UK front door is a known height. The elevation is measured against it — no reference object, no tape measure, no visit.
A photo of the front shows the front. We measure that. For the back and sides you can add a second photo or just tell us the number, and we price those windows at typical sizes. Anything left — the rest of the walls, the roof — is labelled an estimate for your house type.
Every estimate carries a range and says which method produced it. A number without its error bars is a guess.
Your original photograph isn’t saved — we keep the image we generate, not your photograph. What happens to your photo.
